SCARY RIDES

Most small towns had a fair or carnival and their very docile midway rides were the main attraction for teenagers.  Even though the rides were very frightening to a few attendees (me), they didn't compare in scope to what is available today.

  1. Hi. Nice collage, really depicts the scary rides! Actually those rides at fairs and carnivals when I was a teen were docile, you’re right, compared to rides today. I would Never go on the rides today, no way! When I was 14, I thought a simple Ferris Wheel was scary...lol! But I liked those small town fairs and carnivals when I was young. In fact, my first puppy love was a boy who ran the Ferris Wheel at a carnival in a small town in NJ!

  2. Sounds as if you probably rode the Ferris Wheel many times whether you were afraid or not...

Did you ever win a chalk doll as a prize at the Ring Toss or Shoot the Ducks games?

  3. I remember having a few chalk figurines around the house before they broke or were used to make hopscotch squares outside. They are collectibles now - guess since so many did break.

  4. I really like this one!

Very crazy yet at the same time makes me think... this is whats happening in the Mad Hatters mind lol

  5. I'm glad you like the "very crazy" collage - thank you for commenting. It's interesting that you refer to the Mad Hatter since a friend of mine recently mentioned that the collages in general made her think of Alice in Wonderland.
