CAP GUNS
Children grew up playing Cowboys and Indians using cap guns and bows and arrows. Caps came in red rolls that made a loud pop when the trigger was pulled, and arrows had rubber suction cups on the ends.
You must have played with the guns indoors. We ran around our neighborhood, so I don't remember a sound problem for anyone; however, I do still remember the smell that was emitted after "capping".
How I loved my cap guns when I was a kid. I wonder how my parents could stand it. All that noise all the time.
