HAYRIDES
Hayrides, usually sponsored by church youth groups, were popular events in junior high school. Hay was piled high in pickup trucks or wagons and driven down isolated country roads at dusk.
A friend of mine told me that on one particular hayride, she received her first kiss - with a boy she hadn't met before that evening. Hayrides were filled with exciting possibilities!!
